Vibrant Tropical Disco Wedding at Roger Williams Botanical Garden

A Roger Williams Botanical Garden wedding promises to be romantic and magical. It is hands-down one of my favorite venues to design in!

I was thrilled when Sabrina and Russell reached out to me and asked if I could create unique florals for them that aligned with their tropical disco wedding vision! This is such a unique space, and their vision was one I could not wait to jump into.

Tropical Disco Wedding at Roger Williams Botanical Garden

For Sabrina and Russell’s wedding, I got to completely transform the space while still complementing the greenhouse's natural beauty. I had such a great time letting loose with my offbeat creativity and getting funky with their florals, which matched their overall vibe of throwing "traditional" out the window.

For their day, I also got to create my favorite kind of design —a colorful, floral disco chandelier hanging installation. We had the chandelier hang over the lounge in the greenhouse, which was the perfect spot for it! I personally love adding floral installations to weddings because they not only generate buzz but also make a lasting impression.

I always recommend including some type of installation at your wedding to elevate your guests' experience and set the tone and mood for your day. Everyone wants a big floral moment, right?

With a floral installation, you can indulge in this dream! As I always like to say, there’s no such thing as too bold or too big when it comes to your floral installation, whether you want a breathtaking ground arch, a chuppah, an arbor bursting with blooms, or a gorgeous floral structure to frame your vows!

To further embody Sabrina and Russell’s disco theme, I also incorporated disco elements into every part of the wedding floral design, from the chandelier to disco-ball pomanders for Sabrina's attendants to mini disco balls peeking out of Russell's pocket-square boutonniere.

It was so much fun bringing Sabrina and Russell’s tropical disco wedding vision to life through luscious, colorful floralscapes. Whatever your wedding vision is, we can create it together through custom florals! What’s most important to me is that we choose florals that actually reflect who you are as a couple and celebrate your love story in all its technicolor glory.

Everything You Need to Know About Planning a Wedding at Roger Williams Botanical Garden

Roger Williams Botanical Garden is a stunning, lush botanical garden in Providence, Rhode Island, and the largest indoor garden in New England. In the garden, you’ll find a koi pond, fountains, 45-foot tall palms, and it’s home to more than 2,000 species of exotic plants and trees, which creates a serene and enchanting backdrop for your day.

The venue can accommodate up to 170 guests, and for your ceremony, you’ll have a variety of different settings to choose from, which include the Conservatory, Gazebo, and the Rose Maze.

Many couples choose to have their ceremony in the Conservatory, and it’s easy to see why—it’s a glass-enclosed greenhouse with pathways to explore, a charming waterfall, and a variety of tropical plants. It also has soaring ceilings, lets in lots of natural light, and you won’t have to worry about the weather in this enclosed space.

After your ceremony, you can host your reception in the beautiful Conservatory and Greenhouse, or if you want to be outside, you can have your reception underneath a tent on the venue’s lawn. One of the highlights of this venue is that you can have your wedding here all year round - even in the winter.

Another reason to love this venue is that no two weddings here ever feel the same. You can truly make your day feel uniquely yours, whether you want to embrace a more tropical theme like Sabrina and Russell, a Garden of Babylon theme, a secret garden theme, or something completely you!

How much does a wedding at Roger Williams Botanical Garden cost?

The cost of your celebration depends on the time of year you choose for your wedding. For instance, a wedding from April to December will cost more than a wedding from January to March. For a wedding from April to December, Monday through Thursday costs $6,500, and Friday through Sunday costs $7,000.

For a wedding from January to March, Monday through Thursday costs $3,500, and a wedding from Friday through Sunday costs $ 4,000. Keep in mind that these prices can change, so for the most up-to-date information and pricing, I would always recommend double-checking their official website, which you can do here!

One other quick thing to know about this venue is that it's rented on a five-hour basis. The maximum amount of time you can rent the venue is for a total of six hours.
