Bright Orange and Pink Summer Wedding at Glen Manor House

Glen Manor House is truly made for weddings straight out of Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette - classically elegant, absolutely gorgeous, but also so ready for a little pop of funk.

When A + Z inquired about working together and told me about their wedding vision for their summer wedding at Glen Manor House, I couldn’t wait to start creating the perfect florals for their day!

A + Z’s Vibrant, Gorgeous Wedding at Glen Manor House

A + Z planned a gorgeous, bright, summer wedding at Glen Manor House. While this is typically described as a classy and elegant venue, I loved how Ariana and Zachary added their personal touch to the venue’s vibe, making it fun and unique with bright orange and pink flowers!

When they inquired about working together, they told me they wanted "funky and chunky" flowers, which I was able to oblige, bringing in bright and locally grown flowers. Glen Manor was hands-down one of my favorite venues to work in last year, and I loved bringing punchy color to the garden for the couple's ceremony and designing directly on the fireplace mantels in the reception rooms.

A + Z love really came through in their wedding! I watched their ceremony and teared up hearing their vows. They also brought their dogs to the party, and it was clear how much fun they had together. Their personals - a heart-shaped bouquet for Ariana and a minimalist floral lapel for Zachary were some of my favorites to make last year!

All photos featured throughout this blog were taken by the talented Alex Gordias, who captured the flowers and day beautifully!

Whatever your wedding vision is, I promise we can create it together through custom florals! What’s most important to me is that we choose florals that actually reflect who you are as a couple and celebrate your love story in all its technicolor glory.

Flowers for Your Glen Manor House Wedding

Wondering what flowers would be perfect for your Glen Manor House wedding? My answer? It truly depends on your wedding vision, as there are so many different types of flowers that would look incredible here.

With this being a classy, elegant venue, you could take your wedding flowers in a soft, romantic direction, such as hydrangeas and delphinium. Another option could be to go with big, eye-catching blooms such as roses, peonies, and dahlias mixed with greenery to make your florals pop. Roses, on their own, also exude timeless elegance and would look stunning at this venue.

Your Guide to a Glen Manor House Wedding

Glen Manor House is a dreamy Rhode Island wedding venue on the banks of the Sakonnet River and only 15 minutes away from Newport. It has beautiful views, awe-inspiring architecture, verdant gardens, and so much more to discover.

It’s truly a romantic venue, perfect for you if you want your day to feel like an enchanting fairy tale. The manor itself also has chateau-inspired architecture with tall chimneys, dramatic stone arches, and gorgeous ivy-covered stone walls.

This venue also offers breathtaking water views and a variety of versatile spaces, including interior rooms, covered patios, gardens, and a waterfront lawn. The venue can accommodate up to 175 guests - you can either have a grand celebration here or a smaller, intimate affair, as they do offer reduced rates for microweddings and elopements.

Another thing to note about the venue is that they have their own catering partner, which they work exclusively with: Russell Morin Catering & Events. As a full-service catering company, they provide you with a Planning & Event Success Manager, a chef, staff, and bartenders.

You will also have a variety of settings to choose from to say “I do.” For example, you can have your ceremony in a beautiful garden courtyard, which is an outdoor ceremony site and is immersed in lush greenery, has babbling fountains, and a dreamy stone archway. Another outdoor option is the riverside lawn, right by the water, offering a serene backdrop for your ceremony.

For your reception, you can use the grand ballroom, which has enchanting chandeliers hanging overhead and a spacious dance floor. You can use the elegant library and terrace for your cocktail hour, which provides you with a timeless backdrop.

How much does a wedding at Glen Manor House cost?

For the most up-to-date information on pricing, I always recommend going to Glen Manor House’s rate website page, which you can access here! Something I appreciate about this venue is that they are upfront about their prices, and you can find what you need to know on their website.

Also, something to note is that their pricing changes depending on the time of year you want to have your wedding. Mid-May through October is more expensive than weddings that happen in November through Mid-May, and weddings on the weekends are more expensive than weekday weddings. There is an additional charge of $1,500 to your wedding fee if you want to have your ceremony at the manor.
