Lush gardens. Rolling hills. Historic charm. A romantic ambiance. If that’s what you’re looking for in a New England wedding venue, Long Hill might be the perfect place for you.
As a New England wedding florist, Long Hill is always consistently one of my favorite venues! The venue's natural beauty lends itself so well to any level of floral design; it’s a gorgeous canvas to work with, and each wedding here feels unique.

H + E’s Stunning Spring Wedding at Long Hill
For Halley and Ernie, I decided to create a ground arch full of spring flowers so as not to take away from the gorgeous grounds of Long Hill. Spring is always the best season for flowers; the colorful pops of yellow daffodils, bright tulips, and luxurious peonies make for some of my favorite bouquets!
Halley and Ernie just wanted to lean into the garden vibes of their venue and have the day feel relaxed and full of their closest friends and family! The talented Rebecca Cee took photos of this enchanting storybook wedding.
Whatever your wedding vision is, I promise we can create it together through custom florals! What’s most important to me is that we choose florals that actually reflect who you are as a couple and celebrate your love story in all its technicolor glory.
What to Know About Planning a Wedding at Long Hill
Long Hill is a gorgeous 114-acre estate located in Beverly, Massachusetts. It has a charming 1920s brick Federal-style manor home that is surrounded by beautiful gardens with winding paths and woodlands. It’s actually maintained by the Trustees of Reservation, and your rental of the venue helps support the Trustees, which I love as a way to give back!
Long Hill is only about 40 minutes away from Boston, making it feel secluded and private, but it’s still easy for your guests to access the city. This might just be your dream wedding venue if you want an elevated garden party wedding that is still close to the city without all the hustle and bustle, and immersed in lush greenery. You can have everything at the venue - your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception!
The venue can accommodate up to 140–150 guests under the tented reception space, and your ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, with tent coverage provided by the venue for dinner and dancing.
What’s included in your venue rental at Long Hill?
Exclusive use of the event spaces for the duration of your wedding or event
Tables, chairs, lighting, and an event tent
Access to the venue and hospitality suites
Trustees staff liaison to help coordinate logistics with the caterer and other vendors.
Trustees staff liaison to greet vendors, manage event set-up and flow, and welcome your guests on the event day.
A Trustees Membership, which grants you access to more than 120 special places, thousands of programs and events, and much more!
How much does a wedding at Long Hill cost?
The price varies depending on what you choose to include and the date and season you get married here! On average, couples invest between $7500-$8500 for the venue rental.
This is directly from The Trustees PDF brochure for 2027 pricing: “2027 Venue Fees: Saturday $8,500, Friday and Sunday: $7,500.”
You can access the PDF here!
Please remember that pricing is always subject to change, so it’s best to consult the venue’s official website for up-to-date info + pricing! Something important to note is that the venue isn’t available year-round- their event season only runs from May-September!
Wedding Flowers at Long Hill
There are so many different directions you could take your flowers in at this venue - it’s the perfect place for florals that actually reflect who you are as a couple! Here at Althea, I like to use locally grown flowers when I can, and I think there’s something truly special about leaning into local flowers for a spring wedding at Long Hill. Here are some flowers I think truly go well with a wedding here - remember these are all just suggestions. Take what works for you and please leave what doesn’t!
Wildflowers
You can’t go wrong with incorporating native New England wildflowers into your florals, such as purple coneflower echinacea, New England aster, Blue Vervain, etc.!
Garden roses
An enchanting garden-themed wedding and roses are a perfect pair. Roses are so much more than a symbol of love; they are classy, elegant, and have so many colors, sizes, and varieties you can choose from.
Peonies
Peonies are often associated with romance and luxury - they are also lush and fragrant, and a beautiful touch to include in your bouquet, floral arch, boutonniere, etc.
Hydrangeas
Hydrangeas are elegant and romantic flowers. They are also incredibly versatile and style beautifully.
Delphinium
Delphinium blooms add elegance and grace to any floral arrangement!
Dahlias
Dahlias are another beloved bloom that brings warmth and charm to your celebration. They are also versatile and come in an array of colors, and add a touch of sophistication to your floral arrangements. I personally know some incredible dahlia farmers around the Boston area, so if I use dahlias for your wedding, you know they are locally grown!
